Choosing Your System
If you've read the other articles in this section, you should have a decent understanding of
- Picture, Audio and Source
- Analog and Digital Connections
We have basically already covered the components in Intro to Home Theater. If you need a refresher, feel free to double back. If you're ready to continue, what we're basically going to do is break those components down, and talk about them in much greater detail.
Your picture, audio, and source all interact with each other to deliver a complete Home Theater experience. Depending on how well you picked out your components, (i.e. what quality they can produce and transfer), you can definitely wind up with something you can write your folks about. On the other hand though, pick poorly and you can wind up with something that you can't even get stereo sound from. (Stereo sound gives you left and right audio...Not surround sound exactly, but better than mono sound where all sound is the same no matter what speaker it's coming from).

In the next page, we dive into the picture component of your home theater. What you can use besides T.V.'s, and what to look for in your picture choice when purchasing it.
